Privacy
This page explains what this site collects and why. Questions go to hello@hudsonvalleyantiqueguide.com.
Your cookie choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or decline cookies. Until you choose, and if you decline, the site loads no analytics or advertising scripts and sets no cookies of its own. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page. You can change it any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Analytics
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which pages and outbound links (for example, a shop's website) are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your browser and device type. We don't send your name or email address to Google. Google's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
Advertising
The site may later show ads from an advertising network. Ads are always labeled "Advertisement" and are kept separate from listings. No ad code runs on the site today. If ads are added, ad scripts will load only if you have accepted cookies, and this page will be updated to name the network.
Some businesses pay for Featured placement. Those listings carry a "Featured" badge that says the placement is paid. Payment never changes what we write about a shop.
Newsletter signup
If you sign up for the Finds dispatch, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, and the time. We use it only to send occasional emails about antiquing in the Hudson Valley. Reply "unsubscribe" to any email and we'll remove you.
Forms
The contact, claim or correct, submit, and advertising forms store what you type into them (for example your name, email, phone if you give it, and your message) along with the time it was sent. We use this only to answer you, fix listings, review submissions, and reply about advertising.
To limit spam, each form stores a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself, and refuses repeated submissions in a short time. Submissions are stored in our database provider (Supabase) and can be read only by us.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information. We don't publish home addresses or personal phone numbers of private people. Listings show only business contact details.
Removing your information
Email hello@hudsonvalleyantiqueguide.com to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted.
